Job Summary:
The Aircraft Painter is responsible to perform refinishing services for aircraft and components and will be accountable to the Maintenance Supervisor. The Aircraft Painter shall be responsible to perform refinishing services in accordance with, within estimated time and in accordance with applicable FAA and customer work instructions without deviation.

Job Summary:

The Aircraft Painter shall be responsible to perform refinishing services in accordance with, within estimated time and in accordance with applicable FAA and customer work instructions without deviation.
Responsibilities:
As an experienced Aircraft Painter, you are qualified to:
- Prepare aircraft for stripping and painting.
- Mix and apply paints in various quantities.
- Set up and operate various types of paint spraying equipment.
- Locate pounce patterns for registration numbers to accomplish a specific task.
- Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform work within estimated hours.
- Follow all safety procedures and specifications.
- Be specifically aware of and in compliance with all environmental guidelines for handling the products associated with the type of work performed.
- Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.
- Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner.
- Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with little or no rework.
- Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.
- Perform other duties and special projects as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor if qualified.
- Act as an Aircraft Painter Lead when required and if properly certificated and rostered.
MINIMUM:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) or more years of experience performing as an aircraft painter.
- Must have own tools required by Company Tool List.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant or FAA Airframe certificate.
- A normal range of pulmonary functions test is required and physiological determination of the ability to wear a respirator and other safety equipment as necessary.
- Ability to use required safety equipment for the handling of hazardous materials.
