Aircraft Painter at STS Technical Services

STS Technical Services is hiring an Aircraft Painter to join our team in Cedar Hill, Texas. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and an interest in refining aircraft parts and components, we want to hear from you.

Job Overview

As an Aircraft Painter, you will refinish various aircraft parts and components following technical specifications and safety guidelines. Your work will contribute to maintaining the integrity and appearance of critical aviation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sand parts and components using hand tools, orbital sanders, and scotch-brite pads.
• Mix paints and primers according to manufacturer specifications or work orders.
• Track and manage inventory of paints and hazardous materials as needed.
• Use paint booths for proper application and drying of components and parts.
• Clean and maintain spray guns, including disassembly and reassembly.
• Adhere to proper PPE guidelines and safety procedures as outlined in manufacturer SDS documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions with precision.
• Auto body experience is helpful but not required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) for extended periods.
