A Day in the Life of The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor
As the Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee aircraft maintenance lines, using production schedules, labor analysis, and budgetary information. You'll manage maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration projects, ensuring product quality and compliance with the air carrier maintenance program and inspection procedures.
Essential Duties of The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor
- Ensures maintenance programs align with company goals.
- Direct oversight of the Aircraft Maintenance program.
- Coordinates with Quality Control to ensure maintenance complies with Federal Aviation, manufacturers, customers, and company procedures.
- Reviews customer program and FAA regulations for compliance.
- Manages, approves, and returns to service any aircraft or part, ensuring effective communication on work, risk, safety, and quality.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least five years’ commercial aircraft maintenance or MRO experience.
- At least three years of supervisory experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
Physical effort and Dexterity
The job requires sitting, standing, walking; using hands and arms; talking or hearing; focusing on objects close up. May need to lift/move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Compensation
Base pay range: $92,000-$138,000 annually, plus benefits and potential bonuses. Salary based on skills, education, experience, and internal equity. Eligible for annual bonus. Generous benefits package included.
