We proudly support all four branches of the military in performing Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level aircraft, ground vehicle, and component maintenance. We employ over 900 qualified Aircraft Mechanics across the United States and overseas. We have an opportunity for a qualified Logs and Records Technician to support our MALS - 11 Contractor Field Team at MCAS Miramar.
Description:- The Logs & Records Technician is responsible for the management and sustainment of all aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records, aircraft maintenance files, records and reports, directives and correspondence in an aircraft maintenance and operations environment. Specific duties may include and are not limited to:
- Utilizing management information systems to maintain aircraft forms and records as required
- Drafting and submitting aircraft/engine management and Inventory Reporting System reports
- Preparing weekly, monthly, yearly reports as assigned
- Processing readiness documents, administering the aircraft configuration status accounting program and verifying aircraft utilization reports
- Monitoring aircraft configuration status, weight and balance, and aircraft inventory data for accuracy
- Initiating and distributing applicable maintenance forms in accordance with established procedures
- Complying with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facility and job assignment
- High school diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 2 years of aviation clerical experience in maintaining aircraft logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records and associated logs. Previous experience with US Navy, and/or FAA aircraft logbooks and documentation is preferred
- Ability to meet required scheduling deadlines and maintain necessary work flow
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft logbooks, maintenance records, applicable maintenance / technical manuals, publications and forms
- High degree of knowledge in computer operation and keypunch skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate the English language and follow verbal and written instruction
- Experience with automated management information systems is highly desired: OOMA, NALCOMIS, FAME, IMDS, CETADS, CEMS
Security Clearance:
- This position will require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Favorable government clearance. This will require the ability to pass an in-depth background investigation.
