JOB TITLE: Aircraft Interior Installation Technician II
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary:
Removes, installs, and fabricates aircraft interiors, including trim, carpet, soundproofing, light structures, cabinetry, panels, and accessories.
Work must adhere to company design specifications, quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
Safely perform removal, installation, and fabrication of aircraft interiors (e.g., galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels).
Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Repair Station procedures, and quality standards.
Use the material tracking system for parts requests, squawk tracking, and work sign-offs.
Operate and maintain tools such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.
Install interior items per operational procedures and quality standards.
Remove and reinstall fasteners, nut plates, and inserts for aircraft interiors.
Apply proper hardware and fittings during installations.
Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment as needed.
Address unsafe conditions to prevent risks to people or property.
Assist with aircraft maintenance tasks under supervision.
Adapt to sudden schedule changes.
Collaborate with lead and senior technicians on process improvements to reduce cost, cycle time, and man-hours using Lean Six Sigma principles.
Create and use simple patterns for tasks following standardized procedures.
Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight tests as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years of experience in installation, fabrication, or related fields.
Aerospace industry experience preferred.
Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering documentation.
Experience with hand/power tools for interior installation and removal.
Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
Computer literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
