Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) with IA Position at CXO MX, Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport

CXO MX, a wholly owned subsidiary of High Performance Aviation, LLC, specializing in aircraft sales and consulting, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) with Inspection Authorization (IA) to join our dynamic team at the Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport. Our focus is on maintaining general aviation piston aircraft to the highest standards of safety.

Role Overview:

As an Aircraft Inspector, you will be integral to our mission, ensuring high-quality and efficient maintenance on piston aircraft. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in maintenance and inspections of various piston aircraft models.

Key Requirements:

• Expertise in General Aviation: Deep knowledge of general aviation fixed-wing piston aircraft.
• Maintenance and Record-Keeping Acumen: Proficiency in aircraft maintenance practices and thorough understanding of record-keeping requirements.
• Professional Attributes: Strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to aircraft owners.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing maintenance records and conducting aircraft research.
• Performing visual and mechanical inspections of aircraft.
• Handling routine maintenance of aircraft.
• Preparing and reviewing equipment lists.
• Assisting sales representatives with aircraft maintenance reviews.
• Maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
• Providing timely updates on the maintenance status of aircraft.

Qualifications:

• A&P Mechanic certification with Inspection Authorization
• At least 3 years of experience in piston aircraft maintenance and inspections.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Independent work capabilities.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Passing pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

• Experience with multiple aircraft models.
• Experience with Quantum MX maintenance software.

• Paid holidays (eligible after introductory period): New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, plus an Optional Floating Holiday.
• Group Health Insurance: HPA covers 50% of the employee's premium (eligible after 60 days).
• Vacation/Paid Time Off: Earned with tenure, ranging from 1 week (1-2 years) up to 4 weeks (11-20 years), starting after 6 months.

Work Hours and Compensation:

• Normal working hours are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
