About the Job
Job Purpose:
Maintains aircraft airworthiness by shaping, finishing, and installing heavy-structure metal and fiberglass components.
Duties:
* Prepares work assignment by studying work orders and schedules; organizing work; gathering supplies.
* Sets-up metal-working equipment by studying pattern layouts, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and manuals.
* Repairs aircraft major structural members and components by removing members and components; shaping, fabricating, finishing, fastening metal parts using bench equipment and hand tools; verifying tolerances; installing finished assemblies and parts.
* Removes corrosion from aircraft components by removing components; identifying form of corrosion; applying chemical and/or mechanical methods; re-installing components.
* Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
* Maintains air safety by interpreting and adhering to regulations and manuals, such as, FAA, ATA, parts catalogues, technical orders, etc.
* Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records per FAA and CRS 145 procedures.
* Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
* Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Must be self motivated. Must be able to work mobile repairs. Salary
20 - 35 /hour
Quarterly Bonus after probation
