Position Summary: Ignite is seeking a highly skilled AI/Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing and deploying AI and machine learning solutions that enhance the operational effectiveness and strategic capabilities of the Air Force. You will be at the forefront of transforming Air Force operations through the innovative use of AI and machine learning, directly impacting critical mission outcomes.
This role is contingent upon contract award.
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to solve complex problems related to Air Force operations, including but not limited to predictive maintenance, operational planning, threat assessment, and decision support systems.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand mission requirements and deliver AI-driven solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and military personnel to integrate AI technologies into existing Air Force systems and platforms.
- Stay abreast of the latest AI and machine learning advancements to ensure the Air Force maintains a technological edge.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of AI models to ensure accuracy and reliability in diverse and challenging environments.
- Document and present model development processes, solutions, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Air Force leadership and operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and security guidelines during the development and deployment of AI solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in AI and machine learning, including expertise in neural networks, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages and experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex projects with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical details into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a related field.
- Experience in defense or aerospace industries, particularly working on projects related to military operations or national security.
- Familiarity with cloud computing services, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their respective AI/ML services.
