AI/Machine Learning Engineer- Full Time (Remote)
Job Description:
We have an "immediate opening" for an experienced AI/Machine Learning Engineer to work remote with the possibility of working onsite in Atlanta, GA at some point in the future. Facilitate coordination and implementation of CDC’s AI/ML strategy and enterprise AI/ML roadmap through performance of project management activities, data science support, development, and dissemination of informational and training related materials and artifacts for consumption by internal and external partners, and coordination and collaboration assistance with CDC programs, governance bodies, and STLT partners.
Responsibilities:
· Strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning, with experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models and applications.
· Working closely with data engineers and other team members to create innovative solutions that drive business value.
· Work in a mid-size team of Sr. Data and AIML engineers.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models using Databricks, Azure ML, or Palantir.
· 3+ years of experience developing AIML applications integrating LLM into Databricks or Palantir.
· Experience with evaluating RAG Chat Bots using LLMs-as-a-Judge for automated evaluation, leveraging models (e.g., llama2-70B judges llama2-7B, or GPT4 judges llama2-70B) to assess generative model predictions.
· Experience with CI/CD processes.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
Desired Skills and Experience:
· Experience with preparing evaluation datasets, retrieving chatbot models, predicting answers, and utilizing LLMs-as-a-judge evaluation methods.
· Experience with Vector Databases
· Experience developing data engineering pipelines.
· Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.

· Must be US Citizen or with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance (Public Trust 5) within a reasonable period.
