About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
• Real-time learning and experimenting with AI advancements: Continually apply and experiment new AI tools, finding innovative ways to leverage them in design, aesthetics, storytelling, moviemaking, fabrication, and innovation.
• Infuse AI technologies into all programs: Apply AI thinking and insights into both AI and non-AI focused programs.
• Provides AI-mentorship across the studio, developing new methods and processes that can be integrated into creative and business teams processes.
• Employs system-thinking and a design mindset, coupled with AI expertise, to craft frameworks that guide the creation and validation of content, with a strong emphasis on AI Experience within the Automotive and Design sectors.
• High-level blending of multiple-AI tools and processes, creating unique media outputs; actively uses advanced AI tools and techniques to enhance design solutions and validate potential concepts and experiences, ensuring cutting-edge outputs.
• Collaborates under the mentorship of Creative Directors and Associate Directors, typically as a vital member of a core team of designers and AI specialists.
• Merges multiple viewpoints - from AI-driven design best practices to customer insights and technical capabilities - to create actionable business opportunities from design and AI insights.
• Engages both internal design teams and external clients, employing AI-driven narratives that are clear and emotionally compelling to ensure buy-in.
• Delivers AI-enhanced strategic content across multiple projects, ensuring that they surpass client expectations as detailed in proposals or briefings from DW Strategic Management.
• Provides AI-driven insights across the full design strategy spectrum, from defining strategic AI criteria to constructing AI-powered plans which the client/design team can execute and communicate with client backing.
• Uses AI analytics to measure long-term business strategy success by observing shifts in client positioning or enhancements based on our AI-driven consultation. Direct client feedback is pivotal for this assessment.
• Relying on standard business metrics tailored to project briefs, and utilizing AI tools to ensure insights such as quicker innovation, accurate consumer value predictions, or operational cost reductions.
• Utilizes system-thinking, expertise in AI tools, and multi-dimensional perspectives to support and develop strategic questions, ideate AI-enhanced solutions, and seamlessly integrate these solutions.
• Establish a local LA / US network of experts (the home of global AI development): Benchmark and concreate, using these tools to build Designwork's AI-Design community reach.
• Ethical AI Considerations: Understand and apply ethical guidelines for AI - particularly around bias, privacy, transparency, and accountability.

The pay range for this role is $99,607.25- $128,903.50.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

- Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Design, Design Strategy, Industrial Design or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of prior work experience within the field of Design, Strategy, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 months of extensive-experience, using these in design processes and settings
- Strong visual, verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with key AI tools such as LLMs, Image Gen and Gen AI.
