Responsibilities of an Agricultural Equipment Sales Representative:
- Demonstrated sales experience within a dealership environment.
- Proficiency in delivering exceptional customer service (a strong interpersonal skill set is essential).
- Capacity to multitask and maintain organization during peak business periods.
- Familiarity with tractors, combines, sprayers, tillage equipment, grain carts (experience with these is advantageous).
- Previous involvement with John Deere, Kubota, New Holland, Case-IH, Massey Ferguson, or similar agricultural dealerships is beneficial.
- Sustains up-to-date knowledge on the features and advantages of equipment potentially available for sale by the dealership.
- Monitors competitor activities/products and provides prompt updates to management.
- Conducts demonstrations of new equipment in the field.
- Observes trends in customers' business operations and communicates relevant information to management promptly.
- Keeps abreast of current used equipment values and possesses the ability to assess them accurately for trade-in purposes.
- Stays current on financing options to aid customers in acquiring new and used products.
- Participation in pertinent sales training events and seminars.
Requirements for an Agricultural Equipment Sales Representative:
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in agricultural equipment sales.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and internet usage.
- Availability to work flexible hours.
- Exceptional skills in fostering customer relationships.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
