Job Summary
The Assistant General Manager’s role at this hotel includes oversight of all aspects of hotel operations. We are looking for a positive, organized, driven, and customer service-oriented individual to join our team!
Daily Duties
- Oversee daily operations and scheduling of hotel departments including front desk, engineering, and housekeeping
- Provide training, support, guidance, feedback, and resources to the team to ensure success
- Maintain standards to ensure employee and guest satisfaction
- Assist GM and Department Heads in hiring, motivating, evaluating, coaching, and directing staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives
- Contribute to the team effort of the overall hotel by participating in job sharing
- Assume responsibility for the cleanliness of the hotel and safety of guests and employees
- Learn state and enforce federal environmental standards, OSHA regulations, company policies and hotel specific policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements & Qualifications
- Positive customer service orientated attitude
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Suite skills
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hotel experience
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends
- Weekend availability, when we are busiest, is generally required in the hospitality industry
