The ideal candidate to fill this position should have the following work experience, education and skills:
- At least five (5) years of progressive hotel Management experience with proven leadership of a branded hotel team
- Preference will be given to branded FOM or AGM Certification
- Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of Associate's degree and work experience
- Valid SC Driver's license and ability to drive hotel shuttle
- Hands-on experience in Rooms, Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales & Catering, Banquets and Restaurant/Breakfast Bar operations
- Accomplished trainer/speaker for one-on-one and group training meetings
- Proven success in revenue generation and management, financial management and guest service initiatives
- Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly, both oral and written, as well as effective listening skills to understand and work towards problem resolution
- Team member focused to consistently deliver optimal guest satisfaction
- Proficient in branded hotel PMS and Accounting systems.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office to complete correspondence, email, notices, spreadsheets, internal flyers, guest responses, marketing ads and brochures.
- Action oriented to work efficiently and effectively toward hotel goals and objectives. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately
- Time management skills to meet commitments across multiple companies, departments and role
- Demonstrates financial acumen to work with and understand financial information, data and basic mathematical skills
- Ability to delegate and hold accountable management team for successful Quality Assurance evaluations, Guest Satisfaction scores, Profitability, Team Member retention, Cleanliness and Condition brand standards
- Position requires a flexible schedule with weekend and night coverage as business demands
