Job Title: Agile Release Train Engineer (Contractor)
6+ Month (Most likely 12-18 Months)
$70-$90/hr - W2 ONLY - NO C2C
Overview: We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support our organization in driving transformation and building high-performing, collaborative teams. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Agile methodologies, with a strong focus on coaching, facilitation, and the ability to influence organizational change. In this role, you will work closely with multiple cross-functional Agile teams, senior leadership, and key stakeholders to foster an Agile mindset, streamline delivery processes, and ensure high-impact outcomes. You will also play a pivotal role in facilitating PI Planning events and driving continuous improvement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitation & Collaboration:
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner Syncs, retrospectives, and other cross-functional collaboration events.
- Guide teams in adopting and effectively using Agile tools and techniques (e.g., Jira Software, Confluence).
- Facilitate large-scale events, such as PI Planning, to foster alignment, transparency, and collaboration across teams.
- Support Scrum teams in their journey toward self-organization, empowering them to deliver high-quality results.
Risk Management:
- Actively identify, manage, and mitigate risks across the Agile Release Train (ART) to prevent disruptions and ensure smooth delivery.
- Collaborate with leadership to proactively address and resolve potential challenges impacting the ART.
Driving Continuous Improvement:
- Foster a culture of relentless improvement within the ART by encouraging teams to learn from each PI (Program Increment) and refine their processes accordingly.
- Support teams in adapting their Agile practices based on feedback and performance data.
Team Support & Coaching:
- Mentor and coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members to strengthen their Agile capabilities and ensure successful delivery of initiatives in the multi-year transformation roadmap.
- Help teams with the setup of their boards, automation workflows, and reporting systems to drive efficiency and transparency.
Metrics & Reporting:
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of Agile adoption and ART progress.
- Provide leadership with regular updates and insights into Agile performance using tools such as Jira dashboards and Advanced Roadmaps.
- Analyze project metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize team performance.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with executive leadership to advocate for and foster a culture of agility throughout the organization.
