Title: Agency & Escrow Auditor
Location: Radnor, PA, or Coraopolis, PA
This is an individual contributor position which works under modest supervision and is responsible for performing certain agent approval procedures and periodic agents onsite reviews consistent with Essent’s risk assessment and the respective State DOI, if applicable. The auditor shall review the standards of practice of the agent to ensure protocols are within risk tolerances and comply with federal and state laws regarding closing, title, and escrow management. The auditor plays a key role in risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and management. The position is also responsible for analyzing and reviewing escrow accounts, organizing, and reviewing processes, and communicating timely and accurately.
As a dynamic and resourceful professional, we will rely on you to perform the following duties:
- Review title policy files to oversee the proper issuance of title insurance products in accordance with guidelines. Communicate results internally and externally as appropriate leveraging the internal CRM tool. Ensure supporting documentation is properly processed and retained.
- Perform a review, analysis, and score of agent’s escrow reconciliations. Document and communicate results internally and externally as appropriate leveraging the internal CRM tool. Ensure supporting documentation is properly processed and retained.
- Prepare and communicate the schedule of agent onsite reviews within the Risk team. Assist and conduct annual onsite reviews of agents the company underwrites ensuring they are in compliance with Essent’s risk appetite.
- Identify potential areas of risk. Propose methodologies, strategies, and solutions to overcome those risks to reduce their effects.
- Compile reports, presentations, and other visual materials to highlight the effects of risks and the proposed solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent work experience required.
- 3+ years of relevant individual contributor experience is required.
- Title insurance underwriting experience and real estate transactional background a plus.
- On call hours and travel to agent’s offices.
- Maintains flexible hours and work location.
- Knowledgeable in real estate closings, title insurance, escrow and underwriting audits, and ALTA Best Practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to productively interact with peers, customers, and management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
