About the Job
We are working with a well-respected Ag Equipment dealership that’s looking to add an Ag Equipment Salesperson to their team. The right person for this role must be knowledgeable about agricultural/farm equipment, take pride in good customer service, and be able to build relationships with customers and the team. You will represent the company for the sale of new and used agricultural equipment to customers in a defined sales area.
Ag Equipment Sales Responsibilities:
- Prior experience in sales in a dealership setting.
- High level of customer service experience. Must be a “people person”.
- The ability to multitask and stay organized during peak foot traffic times.
- Experience with tractors, combines, sprayers, tillage equipment, grain carts.
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
- Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communication to management, accordingly.
- Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
- Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and have the ability to evaluate equipment properly for trading purposes.
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
Ag Equipment Sales Qualifications:
- 1-2 years agricultural equipment sales experience preferred.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Excellent customer relationship skills.
- The ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
Ag Equipment Sales Salary & Benefits:
- Base salary + commissions + dealer spiffs and other incentives.
