Position SummaryThis recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week)
Office Assistant positions for the Department of Ag Administration at Oregon State University (OSU).
This Person will be responsible for reporting to the Academic Program's Office and will assist in the various tasks required by each of its team members. Tasks include, but are not limited to, inventory tracking and audits, generating marketing materials, information and database upkeep, and email support.
Position Duties60% Projects and Data Entry
- Reports to Academic Programs Office Manager.
- Meets with team members daily.
- Sets daily goals for assigned projects with the intent to meet those lead times.
- Works in Excel, Power Point, Word, and other programs to create and update the various yearly projects within the APO.
- Helps pull and count inventory for various recruitment events.
- Communications with stakeholders around the college on behalf of the APO.
- Sorts and distributes mail.
- Cleans and tidies lobby and public office spaces, including taking out recycling. Organizes paperwork and keeps track of office supply inventory.
- Makes copies.
- Covers front desk, greets visitors, responds to visitor inquiries in-person and via phone and email.

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
Additional Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work at least 8 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00pm).
- Must be reliable and adhere to an assigned, long-term work schedule.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and independent work style.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to learn new software.
- Current student at Oregon State University
- Current student at OSU within the College of Agricultural Sciences, College of Forestry, or College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science.
- Experience with many aspects of the Microsoft Office
