Do you love working with kids? Come join School District 197 School Age Care team working with children in grades K-8. We are looking for individuals with a passion for childcare and enjoy working with kids to assist the site supervisor(s) in providing quality and age appropriate school age care.

- Assist in the implementation and preparation of curriculum and enrichment activities for students
- Assist in guiding children’s behavior using a positive and consistent style
- Ability to implement emergency procedures.
- Participate with children in activities.
Pay & Schedule:
- Position will start on August 26, 2023. Applicants must be able to work 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Aug. 26 -Aug. 30, 2024 for staff development and site set up. September 3rd will be the first day with SAC participants.
- Competitive pay, starting at $23.21/hr $2/hr stipend (some conditions apply)
- Part time opportunities available - up to 20 hrs/week
- Various shifts available in the afternoon: 2 pm - 6 pm Monday through Friday

Qualifications:
- One of the following:
- Two or more years of post secondary training in education or related field
- Successful completion of the ParaPro assessment
- AA degree in education or related field
- 90 credits or more in education or related field
- Experience working with children with special needs
- Experience with children with high needs in group situations, good communication skills, high degree of flexibility
- Experience working with children of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check
