Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of our local youth? The After-School Program Coordinator/Manager is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and daily operations of our after-school program. You will be working directly with students, managing staff, coordinating activities, ensuring student safety, and maintaining communication with parents, school administrators, and our community partners. Essentially, you will be acting as the leader and primary decision-maker for Pipeline’s “Family Matters: Making Kid Connections" After-School Program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the implementation of a fun-filled curriculum that includes video-making, photography, social-emotional skill development, music, arts and crafts as well as tutoring and homework support.
- Creating schedules for staff and ensuring staff adheres to program policies and safety protocols.
- Procuring necessary program materials and supplies.
- Maintaining a safe, fun-filled and positive learning environment for students and staff.
- Attendance taking; entering metrics and filing program reports.
- Monitoring student behavior and responding to incidents effectively and promptly.
- Providing guidance, being a Role Model and a team player.
Experience & Education:
- The best candidate for the position has extensive VERIFIABLE Experience in the educational field, or in a related field; has a knowledge base and skill sets relating to after-school program and curriculum development and is creative in developing after-school activities.
Educational requirements vary:
- A master’s degree, a bachelor’s, and associate’s degrees relating to after-school and educational programing experience are preferred.
- A high school diploma with appropriate certificates and/or extensive and verifiable experience in related fields of interest and after-school programming is acceptable.
Pipeline is looking for people who have an interest in working with diverse populations and who desire to make a difference in the communities we serve.
Requirements:
- Must be available between the hours of 1:30pm – 6:30pm, Monday-Thursday (After-school program operating hours).
- Final candidates must clear reference and background checks.
- Must have valid Ohio driver's license with less than two (2) points and full coverage insurance.
Funding for the position: This is a part-time, term limited grant-generated position beginning January 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2025.
