Job Title: Aerospace Valve Design Engineers
Quantity = 2 (1 Medium & 1 Senior Engineer)
Location: Springfield, NJ
Compensation: Salary Range $100K - $150K (Based on Level) + Possible Bonus for the Senior
Relocation: Company offers a lump Sum amount for relocation assistance of around $2.5K - $5k

The Company produces precision flow control components like Solenoid valves for mission critical applications in the Aerospace and Aviation industries.
Note 1: This position requires a hands-on person coming from high precision (low volume) Solenoid Valve manufacturing business in the aerospace Industry.
Note 2: This person will be performing 100% High level conceptual and detailed design Engineering functions with other support resources like design/drafting, technical writing, and qualification test personnel. This position is not for CAD/draftsman type person.
Job Summary:
Performs engineering valve design functions for the development of new products and for the modification of existing products, in accordance with corporate strategic plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop prototype models and methods to validate design concepts and final design including required supporting engineering calculations.
• Validate design with team members and approve design changes.
• Report progress and unusual project occurrences to the Engineering Manager or Project Engineer.
• Confer, work closely and obtain the necessary results with manufacturing, quality assurance, production, vendors and contractors regarding the various aspects of product design projects.
• Work with engineering support groups to check final designs and modify designs as appropriate.
• Interact with all company support departments to resolve manufacturing problems and to improve product quality and the ease of manufacturing.
• Keep abreast of technological developments and opportunities in the field to assist with incorporating design innovations.
• Visit customer sites and contractors to validate product design specifications and to resolve product problems.
• Prepare project time reports as scheduled.
Candidate Must Have:
BS in Mechanical Engineering degree.
Hands-onDesign experience with Solenoid Valves for the Aerospace industry
For Medium = 7+ years & for Sr. = 10+ years of above experience.
Self-starter, organized and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to prepare design drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software and support design with calculations using MathCAD software.
Strong understanding of geometric tolerance techniques GD&T based on ANSI Y14.5M-1994
Candidate Nice to Have:
Advanced Degree
Solid project engineering and communication skills
Current knowledge of engineering and technical publications to help keep abreast of technological changes and developments in the industry.
