About the Job
Inspect products at various stages of production process and comply and evaluate statistical data to determine
and maintain quality and reliability of products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Interpret oral and written instructions, specifications, engineering drawings or inspection instructions to
determine quality and reliability standards.
Select products for inspection at specified stages in production process and inspect products for variety of
qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical or chemical characteristics.
Record inspection data use statistical quality control techniques when required.Complete AS9102 FAI reports as needed.Interpret GD&T on drawings and apply as required.
Determine methodology and set up of measuring equipment / fixtures to properly measure dimensions,
angles, profiles, and configuration attributes.
Evaluate data and write report to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Enter data into computer for analysis and write related reports/documents according to quality procedures.
Use mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment.
Proficiently use precision measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, CMM,
height gauge, pins, counter sink gauges, and other instruments as required.
Work with management and/or engineering staff as needed to clarify quality and reliability standards /
requirements.
Record and communicate discrepancies found with product and documentation to appropriate personnel.
Temporary assignment to Hager facility may be required as needed to support Atec operations.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work
environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization
(AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Cooperate with Auditors.
Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and minimum of 5 years work experience in a
machine shop/electronics manufacturing/assembly environment as a mechanical inspector.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Knowledge of GD&T and AS9100 preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to work with inspection equipment; reach
overhead with hands and arms; and stoop, bend; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, and color vision, good eyesight, by lenses if necessary.
Vision testing is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
