Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking an Aerodynamics & Thermodynamics Engineering Associate Manager to continue our tradition of creativity in aircraft design and development.
What You Will Be Doing
The Aerodynamics and Thermodynamics Associate Manager will support to lead a Flight Sciences (FS) Functional team in Marietta, Georgia, which includes these competencies:
• Aerodynamics
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Performance
• Stability and Control
• Thermodynamics
• Aeroacoustics & External Environment
The team executes engineering tasks in in support of the Advanced Development Program (ADP) and Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) Line of Business. The Aerodynamics and Thermodynamics Associate Manager will support pursuits of new business for the team and guide the planning and execution of that work. The manager is responsible for technical and management leadership including:
• Development of standard Flight Sciences work practices. Establish and coordinate processes, plans, and procedures necessary to provide timely, accurate, and focused engineering support.
• Development and execution of workforce competency strategies. Manage and grow a skilled Flight Sciences workforce.
• Oversight and integration of performance management for team members.
• Leading the team to deliver positive experiences that shape employee and leader beliefs, and recognition and reward of behaviors and actions that lead to positive business results.
• Creating, supporting, and rewarding an agile team environment that enables innovation, and inclusion.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or a related disciplined.
• Experience with Flight Sciences discipline (Aerodynamics, CFD, Performance, Stability & Control, Wind Tunnel Testing, Thermodynamics and Acoustics).
• Experience in air vehicle development
• Secret Clearance required prior to start.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated success shaping and leading a team in a dynamic business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers and senior management.
• Advanced degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Team Management Experience within Flight Science disciplines.
• Familiar with development of engineering methods and software.
• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Ability to manage, coach, train and motivate team in technical and leadership development.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matters / solutions with senior leadership.
• Familiarity with Flight Sciences tools and processes.
