Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As an Advanced Systems Engineer, you will lead architectural recommendations and design inputs to a cross functional team that develops complex software/firmware systems that support some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

Target salary range: USD $112,829.60/Yr. - USD $125,170.40/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

- Success at leading the systems development life cycle on a small team with frequently changing priorities
- Able to perform low-level embedded circuit analysis/troubleshooting
- Experienced in CONOPS Development and Synthesis
- Ability to work with Software and Firmware engineers on development of new features and troubleshooting
- Skilled in HW/SW Integration and Testing
- Possess solid verbal and written communications
- Able to think on your feet
- Able to develop detailed set of instructions for troubleshooting
- Able to generate clear well defined and executable test procedures
- Able to interface directly with customers
- Able to analyze large data collections for debugging and pattern identification
- Skilled with Fault Detection/Fault Isolation techniques
- Familiar with Radar Systems
- Familiar with Python
- Able to develop scripts using Python
- Knowledgeable on Networking
- Familiar with MATLAB
- Familiar with XML
- Familiar with the use of Wireshark
- Familiar with RTI DDS and QOS settings and configuration
- Familiar with DOORS
- Willing to travel
- Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
