- Set up and configure advanced steel press machines (e.g., hydraulic or mechanical presses) for various production runs according to work orders and blueprints.
- Inspect the final output for compliance with company and customer quality standards, including dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and material integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, including mechanical failures, hydraulic or pneumatic malfunctions, or other machine-related problems.
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production data, and quality inspections.
- Work closely with the production team, supervisors, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in manufacturing or machining).
- Previous experience as a press operator, machine setup operator, or in a similar manufacturing role (experience with steel presses).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with setting up and operating complex machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Knowledge of press operation techniques, die setup, and material handling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Basic computer skills for documenting production and machine data.
- Ability to lift and move heavy steel materials (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Ability to stand, bend, stair climb, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Capability to work in various industrial conditions (e.g., noise, heat, etc.)
