We seek an experienced Advanced Quality Engineer to design, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into finished products. Utilizing your knowledge and experienced you’ll have the opportunity to design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Develops and reviews Contracts, Documents, Drawings, Instructions for conformance to customer, program and company requirements
Develops and maintains program process and procedure documentation
Fully understands contract and company requirements to ensure flow down compliance in all areas
Compares defects against standards and drives/supports dispositions/decisions and associated actions
Collects, organizes and analyzes data to identify trends and recommend actions where necessary
Supports engineering reviews to ensure requirements are met and actively participates in engineering meetings
Supports root cause investigations, corrective/preventive action plan development and verification of effectiveness of implemented actions
Participates in reviews and meetings including technical design reviews and technical peer reviews
Develops and maintains program audit and surveillance plan to ensure program compliance, supports program audits
Provides metrics and reports to quality, program and engineering leadership
Works with multiple organizations including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts and Program Management
Witnesses and/or monitors test activities
Works under minimal supervision
Interfaces with customer representatives and suppliers
Prepares and provides inputs for program, engineering and customer reviews
Travel may be required
Security clearance is required
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of engineering (electrical and mechanical) methodologies, tools, and standards
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Ability to think creatively and strategically
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong skills in communicating issues and their impacts and driving corrective actions
Strong ability to clearly recognize and report relevant problems and drive resolution
Strong skills in reviewing documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements
