What You'll DoThe Advanced Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting New Product Development by ensuring product requirements meet end consumer expectations and needs, identifying potential product risks and corresponding mitigations, and ensuring product requirements have been verified and validated before launch.

- Provides technical advice and guidance to Product Development Teams and other internal stakeholders to support New Product Development
- Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Ensures the appropriate quality plans are developed, implemented, and followed
- Develops and administers quality-related project plans and schedules
- Leads Risk Management Activities to support New Product Development
- Responsible for the creation and oversight of the execution of Verification Test Plans to ensure products meet defined requirements
- Provides technical support and approval for new supplier selection
- Reviews and approves of Supplier PPAP documentation
- Gathers Post Market Feedback as input into the New Product Development process
- Reviews and assesses both the quality and completeness of Deliverables for Stage Gates in the New Product Development process
- Will perform additional responsibilities when required
Requirements
What You'll Bring- BA/BS in a scientific discipline, engineering highly preferred
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably in Design Assurance or New Product Development with consumer electromechanical products
- Experience creating and leading risk management documentation such as Failure Mode Effect Analysis (Design, Process, Use/Misuse), Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis and familiarity with tools such as 8-Discipline, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, Contradiction Matrices
- Experience with the creation and execution of testing plans (DVP&R, Trace Matrix)
- Familiarity with Measurement System Analysis or Test Method Validation
- Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
- Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
- A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
- Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Reliability Engineer
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
- Reliability experience, such as determining Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) or Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
- Not required to have pets, but highly recommended!
- Experience in plastic injection molding and printed circuit board manufacturing
