Responsibilities
Ascension St. Vincent is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider for our Orthopedics Department.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent to provide medical services to patients.
Position Highlights:
+ Monday through Friday schedule
+ The position is a combination of office, consults/rounding and OR
+ Assist with new inpatient/ER consults, surgeries and rounding
Responsibilities:
+ Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
+ Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
+ Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
+ Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo is a 129-bed hospital providing a range of healthcare services and resources to residents of Howard County that are typically only found in larger metropolitan areas.
As part of the Ascension St. Vincent Indiana Heart Attack Network, our emergency care team is available 24-7. - Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo provides personalized maternity services with experienced OB-GYNs, prenatal care nurse educators and a team to make the birth of your child as comfortable and memorable as possible. - Our orthopedic surgery and recovery Joint Success Program is an example of our tailored approach that has led to positive outcomes.
Onsite services include physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, a full-service lab, respiratory therapy, Wound Healing Center, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, x-ray, fluoroscopy, DEXA, digital mammography, and breast biopsy.

Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following:
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Indiana Physician Assistant Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credential(s):
• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Orthopedic Physician Assistant.
Education:
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
• 1 year of experience preferred.
