Advanced Practice Provider (FNP/AGNP/PA) - John Brooks Recovery Center - AtlantiCare

TITLE: Advance Practice Nurse

* Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law required.

* Advance Nurse Practitioner in the State of New Jersey.

CDS, DEA, and Buprenorphine Waiver required.

* 1 year experience in addiction required.

* Ability to influence individuals toward desired behaviors and results by applying suitable leadership styles, using interpersonal skills and influencing organizational values and systems required.

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies required..

* Capable of expanding knowledge or skill enhancement in either a formal or informal setting required.

* Ability to engage in conversation to clearly understand others messages required.

* Ability to express oneself clearly when presenting ideas or concerns with respect to all cultures, ethnic or gender specific backgrounds required.

* Ability to establish and maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with all employees and clients required.

* Demonstrates knowledge of health related issues regarding addiction, mental health, detoxification, chronic diseases, communicable and infectious diseases and primary care required.

* Knowledge of medication administration, potential interactions required.

* Capable of adapting to changing environments, policies or administrative procedures required.

* Capable of obtaining and maintaining state licensure for APN in state of NJ, Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Buprenorphine Waiver required.

* Maintain and obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or Continuing Medical Education (CMEs) credits for licensure as required by state and federal guidelines required.

* Maintain personal liability insurance required.

POSITION SUMMARY

At the direction of Leadership, the Advanced Practice Nurse, promotes and maintains health by providing medical services.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Advance Nurse Practitioner CDS, DEA, and Buprenorphine Waiver required.

EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience in addiction required.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. (Refers to Blood Bourne Pathogen requirement). This position requires repetitive motion, hearing, pushing, reaching, and reading, seeing, speaking, standing and walking a majority of the time. Spends time with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, copier, and telephone. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

This position reports to department leadership.
