Position Summary
- Reports To: Chief Nursing Officer, Chairman of Pediatrics
- Position Status: Limited Part Time
- Direct Reports: Staff Nurse
- Work Location: On-Site
Position Purpose: To provide direct patient care in collaboration with Pediatric physicians while integrating education, research, management, leadership, and consultation into the clinical role.
Essential Duties:
- Provides direct patient care, including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests and managing procedures according to established clinical practice guidelines.
- Identifies deviations from normal and consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate according to established clinical practice guidelines.
- Serves as a resource for staff nurses and physicians in the Archer Clinic to facilitate the coordination of care and the movement of patients through the continuum.
- Provides individualized patient/family teaching, health counseling, and health advocacy services to patients, their families, and significant others.
- Completes all required documentation in a timely manner.
General Job Requirements:
- Current APN license for the State of Illinois without restriction or disciplinary.
- CNP, CPR, ACLS, and NRP current and valid certifications.
- Clinical abilities as demonstrated through training, education, certification, and experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Full vaccination against Covid-19 required
- Current vaccination against Influenza required
