Adult Service Coordinator
Position Summary: The Adult Services Coordinator will provide clinical skills instructions and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis for adults with developmental disabilities in the community, group home setting, AFHA setting and crisis home setting. AS Coordinator will assist with 1:1 directly with clients, provide training, provide consultation services, implement behavior intervention plans, write behavior intervention plans, graph data, write reports, participate in team meetings, and assist BMS Directors with clinical tasks. Qualifications and Skills:
1 year of experience required
Energetic, coachable person
BA Degree in a related field or RBT Certificate
Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto-insurance (in your name)
Must be willing to travel between different job sites within the Delano/Wasco/Bakersfield area
Must pass finger-printing/background check
Must provide proof of negative TB Test
Must be available to work full-time hours (Preferably late morning-evening and Saturday mornings)
Ability to accept constructive feedback
Effective time management skills and ability to multitask
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain professional relationships with clients, coworkers, supervisors, other paraprofessionals, and community members
Ability to abide by the code of ethics indicated by the behavior analysis certification board
Responsibilities
Provide direct client care in 1:1 in group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements
Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisitions and behavioral reduction protocols
Follow and record data for prescribed interventions and protocols
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
Assist with 1:1 group home staff and AFHA caregiver training in line with client’s individual treatment and behavior reduction protocol
Effectively communicate with 1:1 staff, AFHA caregivers and paraprofessionals regarding clients progress as instructed by BMS
Assigned to ABA clients (adults and children) to do direct 1:1 therapy and fill in to 1:1 direct ABA therapy sessions
May be assigned to supervise ABA cases, do parent training sessions, observations, overlaps/trainings and program/report writing
Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures with client
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws
Maintain a clean and safe organized work and therapy environment
Collaborate with the treatment team including the client, AFHA caregivers, outside professionals, co-workers, and supervisors.
Committed to going to on-going trainings and development as it relates to clinical skill, professional development, ethics, and technology, in order to perform job responsibilities to require standards
Maintain a professional appearance with regards to clothing, grooming hair, and make up.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment
Maintain a variety of posture such as kneeling, squating, crawling, sitting, standing, for extended periods of time
Must be able to receive detained information through oral communication, computer, electronic device, and paper means
