Join Our Team as an Adult Learning Program Coordinator!
Location: Evanston, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (with flexibility)
Salary: $60,000–$63,000/year

We’re looking for an Adult Learning Program (ALP) Coordinator to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live their best lives. You’ll organize and run community-based programs at our Evanston and Chicago locations. If you’re organized, creative, and love helping others, this is the job for you!
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or related field.
- At least two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities (teaching experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills, you’re good at talking, writing, and presenting ideas.
- Basic computer skills (like using Microsoft Office).
- Familiarity with DHS Rules, HCBS settings, and CQL standards
- A valid driver’s license, a reliable car, and proof of car insurance.
- Maintain Pace certification and good standing on the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry, including CPR and First Aid requirements.
- Able to lift up to 44 pounds and do simple physical tasks like bending or reaching.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to get certified).
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and support amazing staff who work directly with program participants.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities to make sure everything runs smoothly.
- Plan and organize programs that teach life skills, art, and more using the Glidepath curriculum.
- Keep accurate records, update participant plans, and follow state rules.
- Step in to help whenever needed, teamwork is key!
- Work with other leaders to create fun and engaging community-based programs.
- Train new staff so they feel confident and ready to succeed.
