Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Services, Social Services, or a related field. RN or LPN license may substitute for Bachelor’s Degree.
Certified Therapeutic Recreational Therapist preferred, but not required.
Minimum of one year of supervisory capacity experience in a social service or health care service setting (3+ years preferred) and a minimum of one year of experience in providing services to persons who have dementia.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Must have experience using computer software applications for record management and the ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
Must be able to navigate various departments of a physical location.
Must be able to assist potentially frail seniors in wheelchairs or using assistive devices.
Travel:
Occasional travel to other ADS program locations to assist with program duties and training.
Travel within the several counties in which Senior Friendship Centers Inc. operates may be required as frequently as needed to support operations, fundraising, and outreach.
Must have reliable transportation.
A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required for all work-related travel.
Additional eligibility requirements:
Satisfactory clearance of a fingerprint-based, level II background screening, tuberculous test, and pre-employment substance abuse testing is required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
