We are seeking to hire a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team of outstanding caregivers!
Position Overview:
As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing nursing operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to lead the nursing staff, implement policies, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
Ensure that nursing care is provided in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve the quality of care.
Monitor resident care plans, ensuring that they are updated and aligned with residents’ needs and preferences.
Provide training, mentorship, and support to nursing staff to foster professional growth and improve performance.
Conduct regular audits of nursing documentation and care practices, addressing any deficiencies and implementing corrective actions.
Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help develop strategies to enhance resident outcomes.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Previous experience in a nursing leadership or supervisory role in a healthcare or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
