To serve as a field representative in student recruitment for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and to meet enrollment objectives by building, managing, and maintaining a recruitment territory in Georgia. This individual will serve as the primary contact for students and local high school counselors and will coordinate specialized recruitment efforts and local events in their territory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
bull; Serves as UAB admissions recruiter based in metro Atlanta. Responsible for overseeing student recruitment for the state of Georgia and in select additional states.
bull; Attends college fairs and plans high school visits throughout metro Atlanta and Georgia to meet with prospective students. Coordinates prospective student and counselor events across the state in key markets.
bull; Acts as the primary contact with local high school counselors and coordinates specialized recruitment efforts and local events.
bull; Travels to Birmingham for staff training and on-campus recruitment events.

Bachelor#39;s degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, Counseling, Public Relations or a related field and four (4) years of related experience in student recruitment, university admissions, communications, marketing, public relations, and/or counseling required and must be showcased on job application/profile for full consideration. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement and incomplete applications will not be processed.Currently licensed with a U.S. Driver#39;s License required.
Must be team-oriented with a drive for professional success and the ability to connect with students, parents, high school counselors, and colleagues across the university. Strong work ethic. Refined verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Basic desktop computing skills. Ability to work with diverse groups.
Some evening and weekend work is required. Must possess a valid driverrsquo;s license, issued in the United States. Driving record must meet University underwriting standards to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Must have the capability to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry large quantities of recruitment materials.
