The Position:
We are looking for a detailed-oriented Admissions Coordinator (AC) responsible for coordinating admissions and assuring third-party payor reimbursement for residents of OPH.
The AC performs job duties in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as well as the policies and procedures of Ohana Pacific Health (OPH). Other duties include:
- Assists with admissions to OPH communities to ensure highest and optimal levels for resident census.
- Assures the accurate and timely completion of all forms and documentation as required for admission to OPH communities.
- Assists with assessment of potential residents’ readiness and appropriateness for admission in accordance with OPH policies, procedures, practices, and standards.
- Verifies level of care, working closely with the [referring] discharge planning team and visiting potential residents when necessary.
- Assists with coordination of admission as needed, including but not limited to arranging for transportation, obtaining, and reviewing necessary admission documents.
- Develops and maintains a system to track the status of all potential residents.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- Combination of education and experience in healthcare related field.
- Two (2) years' experience with healthcare admissions, billing office/collections, or insurance coverage verifications.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and concisely.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
