As an Admissions Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining intake services, coordination of care planning and referral networking strategies to meet organizational objectives. You will also promote Performance Improvement and service delivery that is aligned with the agency’s primary mission.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, applicable experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 3-5 years of intake/admissions experience preferably in behavioral healthcare is preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining referral relationships, networking strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate admissions and discharges for all clients.
- Responsible for benefit eligibility and confirmation.
- Assist with Utilization Review by assisting the corporate office with billing issues.
- Assist with coordinating and collecting co-pays, deductibles or other fees from clients that may be due at admission, during treatment, at discharge, or post-discharge.
- Assist with coordinating and arranging client payment plans when necessary.
- Liaison to clients regarding insurance benefits and coverage.
- Scheduling and completing admission assessments and required paperwork.
- Other duties as assigned.
