About the Job
Kingston Healthcare is looking for a dynamic Admissions Assistant, As the Admission Assistant you will play a crucial role in welcoming new residents and their families to our facility, guiding them through the admissions process, and ensuring a smooth transition into our care. You will serve as a compassionate and knowledgeable resource, providing support and information to individuals and families during a challenging and important time in their lives.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking admission to our facility, providing information, answering inquiries, and offering support throughout the admissions process.
- Coordinate and schedule tours of the facility for prospective residents and their families, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience.
- Assist with the completion of admission paperwork, including gathering necessary documentation and ensuring accuracy and completeness of forms.
- Collaborate with the admissions team, nursing staff, and other departments to facilitate a seamless transition for new residents, addressing their needs and preferences.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date admission records, including resident information, insurance verification, and related documentation.
- Support the admissions process by communicating effectively with residents, families, and external partners, providing guidance and reassurance as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living setting, with knowledge of admissions processes and regulations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide empathetic and supportive guidance to individuals and families during a transitional period.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage paperwork, documentation, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including experience with MS Office and electronic health records systems.
