The Administrator/Clinical/Medical Assistant/Receptionist plays a critical role in the healthcare setting, responsible for ensuring smooth operation and enhancing the patient experience. Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organized calendar for healthcare providers.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
Collect patient information, including insurance details and medical histories.
Perform basic clinical tasks, such as measuring vital signs and preparing patients for examinations.
Assist healthcare professionals with procedures and documentation as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Handle medical billing and coding tasks when necessary.
Process laboratory requests and manage follow-ups for results.
Order and maintain inventory of medical supplies and office materials.
Coordinate referrals to specialists and facilitate communication between providers.
Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication instructions.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of patient areas and treatment rooms.
Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
Experience as a medical assistant, receptionist, or in a similar administrative role.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other healthcare software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Compassionate, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
Basic understanding of billing procedures and insurance claims processing.
CPR and first aid certification preferred.
