Autism Delaware is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Receptionist to join our team in our Lewes, DE office . The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a welcoming experience while performing general office support duties.
This is a Part-Time position, 20hrs weekly, Monday – Thursday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand and Support the Agency’s Mission and Treatment Philosophy
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity toward participants, families, and coworkers.
- Exhibit a deep understanding of the backgrounds, strengths, and needs of participants and families.
- Serve as a liaison with the community, representing the agency’s mission and commitment to
respectful and dignified treatment.
Perform General Administrative Duties
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to the appropriate staff members.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and preparing items for shipment.
- Maintain office supplies inventory, ordering when necessary.
- Assist with scheduling meetings and office events.
- Handle basic data entry, filing, and document organization.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized office environment.
- Support staff with administrative tasks as needed (e.g., copying, scanning, and preparing documents, projects).
- Point of contact for office equipment, janitorial, and outdoor contractors.
- Other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with office equipment (e.g., copiers, printers) and computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer service orientation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
