Position Purpose

Provide timely, efficient, and accurate support in Branch office including clerical and officerelated responsibilities. As time permits, helps with issuing policies; statistical coding; othermiscellaneous back-end processes for new, renewal, and endorsement transactions.

NOTE: this is a 100% in office position.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Serves as primary receptionist for the branch office.

• Provide administrative support for branch office and coordinate building and technologyefforts with building management, Facilities and/or IT.

• Performs general clerical work and miscellaneous office duties as a branch officeadministrative assistant.

• Sorts and routes incoming mail, email, faxes and package for the branch office

• Performs simple and routine data entry.

• Order MVRs, inspections, premium audits, and loss runs as required.

• Maintain electronic underwriting file.

• Solicit renewal transactions.

• As necessary, re-format data for import into front end system

• Provide basic operational support for the product line’s underwriters.

• Provide back-up support for other Operations Assistants as needed.

• Provide operational, production, and underwriting reports as requested, utilizing front-endsystems and/or Business Objects.

• Ensure the statistical coding and policy issuance complies with regulatory requirements foreach insurance transaction.

• Create policy documents which represent the insurance transaction bound by theunderwriter.

• Assist in special projects and other tasks when needed.

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree preferred.

• Must have completion of a high school education or itsequivalent and 1-4 years' experience in a similar position.

• Experience in insurance industrypreferred.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies

• Ability to follow operations procedures as outlined by supervisor/manager.

• Ability to meet processing deadlines with minimal error.

• Ability to manage a variety of projects, both long- and short-term simultaneously.

• Ability to use database software including Windows operating systems, computer networkenvironment and printers to process insurance policy changes.

• Accurate data entry
