Billing Specialist- Temporary
Catholic Charities is seeking a dynamic individual to assist our Billing team! This assignment will be temporary through the end of 2024. This individual will support the billing office to perform clerical functions for revenue cycle management. This includes processing information needed to complete insurance verifications as well as investigating outstanding, or pending claims to resolve discrepancies. Follows up on accounts that require further evaluation. Works with others in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
Willingness to work in the office
Strong working knowledge of medical billing/collection practices.
Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft office software especially word and excel.
Strong working knowledge of insurance and reimbursement process.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and public.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
This will be an in office position only, no remote.

Medicaid Billing Experience - Required
Education: High School diploma or - Required (Please provide proof in submission profile)
Previous experience with Avatar (EMR) - Preferred
Knowledgeable on insurance and reimbursement process.
Combination of education and experience normally represented by a High School diploma or GED.
Experience of at least 1 year or more related work experience working with rejected claims and denials for Behavioral Health.
Knowledgeable on insurance and reimbursement process.
Familiarity with HIPAA privacy requirements for client/patient information.
Possession of strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
Must have good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to show patience and courtesy when working with people.
Good telephone and client/patient relation skills.
Ability to work with diverse client population and community organizations as well as staff at all levels.
Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software
Must be dependable

Catholic Charities Outpatient Mental Health Program is hiring an experienced, communicative and compassionate individual to serve as a therapist for our Ashland and Wayne County offices (mileage reimbursable). The program offers creative treatment for children from preschool age through high school and their families to enhance their strengths while treating each individual with professionalism and respect. The youth served may have experienced severe trauma with abuse and/or neglect. Referrals may come from a variety of sources such as Schools, Children Services, Juvenile Court, schools, pediatricians or others. We are a faith-based organization that provides professional services without regard to a person s personal belief system and are certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. We provide comprehensive clinical assessments for mental health and/or substance abuse.
Treatment, Prevention, and Recovery Services
Catholic Charities provides a comprehensive system of services designed specifically for the mental health and chemical dependency needs of children, youth, and adults. Many services are offered by bilingual, bi-cultural staff to serve the Hispanic community specifically. We offer programs at multiple locations in Cuyahoga County.
