A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE MEDICAL ASSISTANT
- Assists with ongoing compliance of the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), including but not limited to staffing attendance, data entry, ongoing communication with staff, and reporting.
- Assists with electrocardiograms, urine drug screening, vital signs, and patient education and charts results of all testing, communications, medication, and all relevant information regarding patient care accurately.
- Monitors urine drug screening process.
- Accurately assist with on-site admissions, immunizations, drug screens and additional testing when scheduled
- Competent in Blood Pressure, Pulse and Narcan administration
- Consult with physicians, nurses and Administration regarding judgments and effective decisions related to patient care
- Perform clerical and supportive duties including answering phones and order entry as needed
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate/ provide clear communication to all clients, staff, physicians and visitors
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT
- High School Diploma
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency required
