Position Summary
Manage access to the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) and to the Associate Vice President, Executive Operations & Senior Advisor for Presidential Communications and Outreach (AVP) by identifying the objectives of the individuals these principals should be meeting with and ensure that they are fully prepared for these meetings. Coordinate the flow of information for these principals with internal and external constituents, school leadership and administrators. Conduct primary research on a variety of topics and areas concerning public and academic policy, university practices and benchmarking, and academic programs and services to inform recommendations for the Office of the President. Prepare findings and recommendations. Ensure the smooth operation of programs, information sessions, informational responses, outreach sessions, events and services for the Office of the President and ensure University standards and guidelines are maintained. Collaborate with staff to produce and maintain currency of online web content, social media campaigns, and office communication materials. The incumbent supports the strategic initiatives through effective project management and the daily operations of the organization.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree or higher in public policy or community relationsRequired Experience:5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience conducting primary research, administering academic or organizational programs, and preparing budgets. Experience using social media platforms to engage stakeholders effectively.Preferred Experience:Experience working in a higher-education environmentRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to develop and sustain effective relationships in support of organizational goals. Ability to work and communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders in individual and group settings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications and with various social media platforms. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
