Job Summary and Qualifications
- The Administrative Director of Clinical Operations reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for the development and oversight of high quality, cost-effective and integrated hospital programs among multiple ancillary and clinical areas.
- The Administrative Director is responsible for the leadership, and outcomes of various ancillary and clinical departments.
- Assists the CNO in ensuring the delivery of quality patient care while improving standards of care delivery, standards of practice, and fiscal stewardship in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.
- Works closely with the CNO in the development and implementation of the hospital’s plan for provision of clinical services.
- Responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the effectiveness of Ancillary and Clinical Services at the facility. This includes budget planning and management (capital and operational).
- Effectively allocates financial, physical and human resources to ensure that operations are effective and efficient.
- Completes a cost/benefits analysis on business plans.
- Responsible for ensuring that Ancillary and Clinical Services are performing in goals and processes derived from facility initiatives.
- Responsible for nursing outcomes of Core Measures and HCAHPS scores within the facility.
- Exercises leadership and management responsibility over all functions within the management scope of this position ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public, and staff.
- Maintains knowledge of social, economic, legal and regulatory issues, which impact the health care delivery system.
What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years management experience required, 5 years preferred.
LICENSE/REGISTRATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse License eligible to practice in the State of Texas required.
- Current BLS required from HCA approved vendor; Advanced certification(s) preferred.
