About the Job
Midland University, a private, faith-based liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is seeking an Administrative Coordinator in Education. This position works closely with the Dean of the Walker School of Education and Education Faculty to assist in the coordination of the program.
WSOE Administrative Coordinator Responsibilities:- Support students and faculty in teacher education undergraduate programs, including the Teacher Career Ladder (TCL)
- Provide program information by responding to internal and external questions and requests
- Schedule and prepare materials for faculty and student meetings
- Maintain supply inventories, place and expedite orders for resources and supplies; verify and manage receipts
- Purchase textbooks for TCL courses and other undergraduate course materials
- Process and maintain confidential professional fitness statements and background checks
- Assist with daily operations and special projects
- Maintain relevant data for the department
- Manage the department's Shared Google Drive, database(s) and spreadsheet(s)
- Assist in Canvas (Learning Management System)
- Prepare student teaching placements
- Assist with preparation of course schedules
- Assist with preparation of adjunct instructor contracts
- Update procedures manuals, guidelines and handbooks
- Review syllabi and Canvas shells for required elements
- Assist with student seminars
- Assist with Federal and State Reporting
- Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Workplace
- Efficient organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and problem-solve
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation
- Interact effectively and work productively and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
