General Summary: Manages the office and provides administrative support for the Wellness Center within the guidelines federal, state and local laws and office, division and college policies and procedures. Reports to the director of the wellness center and manages the daily operations of the office and works with students, families, faculty, staff, contract professionals and other off campus providers to provide support services for the students, wellness center, and college.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manages the office and provides administrative and clerical services to the Wellness Center including overseeing office operations, answering telephone calls, scheduling of appointments, managing walk in requests, and mail services.
- Manages the daily operation and needs of the Wellness Center and in maintaining an effective, efficient, clean and safe building.
- Initiates, processes, submits, and maintains records for purchasing cards, requisitions, purchase orders and reimbursements; informs managers of account(s) status; prepares spreadsheets; and identifies cost effective alternatives.
- Liaisons with on or off-campus vendors and providers.
- Assists in managing the electronic medical record while ensuring that industry record keeping standards are met and maintained.
- Assists in organizing and managing Entrance health requirements.
- Assists director in managing Wellness Center Calendar and planned activities/meetings.
- Serves as content manager for the internet and intranet sites related to the Wellness Center.
- Supervises work-study students and maintains student work schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High school diploma required. BA or BS preferred. Experience working in a health care or health care related field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years of administrative support experience. Preference will be given to individuals who have previously worked in higher education settings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office within a health care setting.
