This position is primarily responsible for preemptively preparing charts for refractive procedures and coordinating/scheduling enhancement procedures. This position is also responsible for serving as a Liaison between the patient, surgeon and clinical team.
- Coordinates the care for all patients scheduling for enhancement procedures. Educates and assists patients scheduling for enhancement procedures
- Preparing charts for refractive procedures.
- Manages phones, screens calls to determine information that is needed, confirms and reschedules surgery appointments.
- Coordinates patient files and ensures that proper documentation is in each file.
- Possesses knowledge of pricing, NVISION's experience, and quality of care.
- Performs diagnostic tests, including but not limited to IOL Master, Topography, and Orb scan.
- Demonstrates positive attitude and a friendly manner; and ability to work with a high degree of professionalism.
- Works effectively with our physicians to prepare all refractive surgery charts prior to surgery date..
- Communicates effectively with affiliates regarding the co-management of patient care by fax the information to the patient’s optometrist so they are aware of the surgery date and they are aware of the need to fax us the measurements as soon as the patient is seen.
- Counsels patients on their surgical and financing/payment options.
- Receives and secures payments from patients.
- Assists with other duties in the center as necessary.
- Delivers high customer satisfaction (always friendly and helpful).
- Ensures confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records.
- 2+ years Ophthalmology experience or healthcare experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Desire to provide an exceptional patient experience
