Who We Are
The Spacecraft Development Department is a group of innovative engineers, program managers, and technicians developing unique spacecraft solutions for challenging space missions. We design and fabricate custom solutions to explore the boundaries of science or solve complex problems not yet delivered by industry to accommodate a variety of payloads.
Objectives of this Role
Utilize and maintain an inventory control and distribution system in support of Projects including shipping and receiving duties. Function as a contributing member of a team and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a strong sense of urgency. Take ownership of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution. Coordinate with Parts Engineering, Project Management, Process Engineering and Fabrication in support of Space Sector objectives and Project progress. Ability to provide excellent customer service while maintaining a strong sense of urgency. Complete training to understand mechanical and electrical documents, drawings, BOM's and Parts Lists as it relates to shipping and receiving spaceflight parts Strong Computer skills, ERP/MRP and MS Office experience.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Receive, Store and Issue mechanical and electrical components. Process parts requests as needed to ensure the progress of Sector projects and operations. Document and process all transactions with complete accuracy to maintain detailed traceability. Responsible for actual inventory counts and resolution of stock discrepancies. Package and shipment of high value parts and assemblies and processing of all necessary paperwork/documentation necessary. Knowledgeable about inventory items and location of all inventories. Perform inventory counts and maintain an accurate accounting of the Controlled Stores stock inventory Work to structured work instructions and to document all work performed. Work with Process Engineering to develop new processes and new equipment installations. Correct, update and generate Division Operating Procedures as needed.
Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Associates degree in Business Administration or Administrative Management preferred.
4-10 years: Relevant administrative training.
1+ years: Stock room experience and inventory control. Strong MS Word and Excel Skills applied to shipping and receiving. Knowledge of Stock Room procedures and proper storage of high value and/or delicate items.
1+ years: ERP/MRP experience with Purchase Req./Purchase Order process including shipping and receiving activities
