To provide administrative and clerical support to the department and its staff.
Job Title: Administrative Clerk

Work Hours: This is a part-time position
Starting Salary: $16.00 an hour
5-Factor Grade: 101
Position Code: PR9001
Current county employees will follow the county's promotion/demotion policy.
Responsibilities
- Assists attorneys, litigants, and customers in person and over the phone.
- Answers telephone and takes messages or transfers calls to the proper individual.
- Reviews and processes subpoenas as requested.
- Assists with opening and processing mail within 48 hours of receipt.
- Acts as primary United States passport acceptance agent within office; accepts the bulk of applications.
- Completes all United States passport transmittal forms, mails, and tracks passports through their arrival at the regional facility.
- Maintains accurate files and other confidential department documents.
- Represents the office at Messiah College during their bi-annual Passport Day.
- Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
- Assists staff with any additional clerical duties in the absence of staff members, or as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- High school diploma or equivalency, operating knowledge of Microsoft Office-word, excel, access, and strong customer service skills.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years working experience in office environment, county government or court system. Or any acceptable combination of equivalent training and/or experience.
