About the Job
Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is currently seeking a Full-Time Administrative Assistant person for our Weymouth location. The Schedule will be: Monday through Friday either 8-4pm or 8:30-4:30pm.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or significant relevant experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of four years of experience in high volume professional/medical environment preferred
- EMR experience a must; preferably EPIC
- Experience in customer support and services
- Team orientation in order to work effectively internally and externally on behalf of OCB
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to be flexible with changing work based on need on a regular, continuous basis
- Excellent communication skills, tact and diplomacy, as well as skill in organizing, planning and prioritizing
- Provides a high level of administrative support to various administrative teams
- Maintains control of and orchestrates physician’s schedule, patient care days and meetings
- Communicates with patients to discuss procedures, lab work, physicals, consent forms and reports questions to physician
- Functions as a resource to patients through verbal and written communication
- Handles a high volume of patient calls
- Assists with documenting procedures, handling co-management paperwork between surgeons and referring providers
- Other duties as assigned
